Gymnastics Air Floor
Tongass Tumblers Gymnastics is a highly attended and in-demand program. Sitka Recreation Foundation recently purchased a new air floor for the gymnastics program that will be put into use in the Spring of 2025. This air floor will enhance the gymnastics experience by providing a larger floor space for kids to practice their skills and further ensuring the safety of all the tumblers by protecting them from the hard gym floor. We'd like to give a huge thank you to organizations like the Sitka Sound Slayers and the Sitka White Elephant Shop, whose donations made this purchase possible.
Blatchley Outdoor Court Improvements
The covered courts at Blatchley Middle School are important for promoting outdoor activity even in darkness and rainy weather. We helped raise funds to make these courts more usable, enhancing the light fixtures, adding wind screens to the fences, painting new basketball and pickleball lines, and replacing the backboards. These renovations make the courts much more usable and also provide extra protection against the elements. Special thank you to Baranof Ballers for sponsoring these improvements!
