2026 Gear Swap!
The Sitka Recreation Foundation invites the public to the Annual Sports and Outdoor Gear Sale and Swap event Saturday, April 4th 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Blatchley Middle School. The event will feature table spaces for those wanting to sell their items, a recreation themed silent auction and an Open Gym sponsored by Sitka Tribe of Alaska.
Proceeds from this event will benefit the Sitka Recreation Foundation. Past projects include 12 passenger van for Parks and Rec, gymnastics airfloor, outdoor equipment and scholarships for youth.
Spaces are limited and can be reserved - small tables ($25) or large tables ($40) by registering here.

We have a variety of roles where you can get involved. Consider volunteering with us to enhance programs, step into leadership roles with the Sitka Recreation Foundation, help with hands on projects, increase community outreach, and fundraise.
Growing Recreational Activities
We work toward a community where all Sitkans can access healthy recreational activities, where our recreational facilities and programs are adequately and sustainably funded, allowing our community to grow and thrive into the future.
